Menu Plan Monday – August 30

We got a bit distracted from our menu last week so we’re going to try and get back on task this week. There are some great deals at Albertson’s so I’m going to incorporate them into our weekly menu plan.

Monday
Breakfast – Breakfast Sandwich
Lunch – Leftovers (I have a fridge full of stuff I cooked over the weekend)
Dinner – Pizza, veggies, fruit (It’s my 7 year old’s night to pick dinner)

Tuesday
Breakfast – Homemade English Muffins and fruit
Lunch – Grilled ham and cheese sandwiches, fruit
Dinner – Chicken and Artichoke Whole Grain Casserole, Salad

Wednesday
Breakfast – Oatmeal, fruit
Lunch – Leftover casserole, salad
Dinner – Noodles with Pesto and feta cheese, garlic bread, salad

Thursday
Breakfast –  Waffles with peanut butter, fruit
Lunch – Nachos with black beans
Dinner – Tortilla crusted tilapia, rice, corn, salad

Friday
Breakfast – Bacon and Cheese Muffins, fruit
Lunch – Grilled Chicken, fruit, salad
Dinner – Chicken fajitas, rice, salad

Saturday
Breakfast – Pancakes, Bacon, Eggs, fruit
Lunch – Mac & Cheese, fruit
Dinner – Steak, mashed potatoes, green beans

Sunday
Breakfast – Cereal, fruit
Lunch – Sandwiches, fruit
Dinner – Steak pizza, salad

Menu Plan Monday – July 26

Our menu plan this week is a bit scattered because we have a beach party tonight and Tuesday is my son’s birthday but I haven’t written out a real menu plan in so long that I’m impressed I’ve even gotten this done. I used to be so good about menu plan and since we joined a CSA we’ve mostly been eating lean protein with whatever fruits and veggies we get but I’m trying to change things up a bit by incorporating our fruits and veggies into recipes to make them a bit more exciting day after day.

Monday

Breakfast - scrambled eggs with fresh tomato, toast

Snack – apples and peanut butter

Lunch – Leftover grilled chicken, salad, homemade guacamole & chips

Dinner - BBQ on the Beach

Tuesday

Tuesday is my son’s 7th birthday (I can’t believe I’m old enough to have a 7 year old) so we’re eating all of his favorite foods.

Breakfast – Frozen Waffles, bacon, eggs, fruit

LunchDominos Pizza, salad

Dinner – Rubios $1.25 Fish Tacos

Wednesday

Breakfast – Orange Date Muffins, milk, fruit

Snack – Soy beans, fruit

Lunch – Grilled Chicken, mashed potatoes, veggies

Dinner - Chicken and Artichoke Whole Grain Casserole, Fruit Salad

Thursday

Breakfast – Oatmeal, fruit

Lunch – Leftover casserole

DinnerCurried Lentils, Chicken for the meat eaters, salad

Friday

Breakfast – Cereal, CSA Fruit

Lunch – Tuna Salad in avacodo, crackers, fruit

Dinner – Grilled shrimp kabobs, rice, CSA veggies

Menu Plan Monday – 4/12/10

We’re still digging our way out from under the boxes but it’s time to start menu planning again so we can start to get into some sort of a routine. We’re trying something new this week by giving each of the older kids a day of the week to plan out our menu. My 6 year old took Monday and my 4 year old took Wednesday. They poured over my cookbooks looking for pictures of something they’d want to eat. After much deliberation, my 6 year old chose a new sweet and sour meatball recipe and my 4 year old chose grilled cheese sandwiches, tomato soup, and asparagus (the kid LOVES asparagus).

Monday

Breakfast – Cereal

Lunch – Pizza, baby carrots, strawberries

Dinner – Sweet and Sour Meatballs, carrots and broccoli, rice

Snack – Lemon Muffins

Tuesday

Breakfast – Cereal

Lunch – I’m attending the L.A. Blogger’s Brunch hosted by Child’s Play Communications

Dinner – Busy Day Casserole, corn, salad (never tried it before but it sounded easy and fast after a long day.

Wednesday

Breakfast – Cereal

Lunch – Leftovers

Dinner – Grilled cheese, tomato soup, asparagus

Snack – Banana chocolate chip cookies

Thursday

Breakfast – Cereal

Lunch – Sandwiches, fruit

Dinner – barbecue Bacon chicken, salad, veggies

Friday

Breakfast – Cereal

Lunch – Leftovers

Dinner – Homemade Fish Tacos
