Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Deal

by Rachel on November 20, 2010

If you are looking for a more natural cleaning product, Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day is fantastic. Amazon has a 6 pack of the counter solution for only $17.70 when you sign up for subscribe and save. There is no commitment with subscribe and save. You can set a time frame anywhere from 1 month – 6 months where the product will be redelivered, however, I have purchased products before on subscribe and save and turned right around and unsubscribed immediately afterwards so you aren’t locked in at all.

Amazon’s prices change quickly so be sure and move quickly on this one.

Melissa & Doug Safari Puzzle for only $3.88

by Rachel on November 9, 2010

I gave up shopping in physical stores for holiday gifts years ago. You can get much better deals online and don’t have to mess with any of the crowds. Right now you can get this adorable Melissa & Doug Safari Floor Puzzle for only $3.88. This is not eligible for free super saver shipping so you do have an additional $1.99 in shipping making your total $5.87 but that’s still a great price. Stock up on a few extra. These would be great to have on hand for birthday gifts throughout the year.

6 Movie Tickets for $30

by Rachel on November 2, 2010

Movie tickets are insanely overpriced and there are some great options for getting discount tickets so I avoid paying full price at the movies like the plague. Groupon has a great deal on move tickets right now – $30 for 6 movie tickets, making them only $5 each!

These are premium movie tickets, which means they’re good for IMAX, first runs, etc. This deal is running in Seattle, but you don’t have to be a resident of Seattle to take advantage of it. Just select Seattle from the drop down list of cities to find the deal.

These tickets would make great holiday gifts. Put them together in a gift basket with popcorn and candy for a gift that anyone on your list will appreciate.

Tanger Outlets GC for 50% Off!

by Rachel on October 22, 2010

I love Tanger Outlet malls. I’ve had pretty good luck (especially during the spring and fall) finding great discounts on name brand clothing. I have children’s jeans that I bought for $2 each that made it through 3 kids just fine. Tanger Outlets has a great offer going on right now if you “like” them on Facebook. Once they hit 96,000 “likes” they will post a link for their fans (for 24 hours only so keep an eye out for it) that will allow you to buy a $50 gift certificate for only $25. This is a great deal! If you or your kids need any holiday clothes then you won’t want to miss this offer. The only location in Southern California is located in Barstow but if you live in the area or are passing by during any of your holiday travel plans it’s worth taking advantage of this deal.

Great Groupon Photography Workshop Deal

by Rachel on October 19, 2010

I’ve seen several photography deals pop up on Groupon but not many workshops and very few with photographers that actually look like they know what they are doing. Today Groupon has a great deal on a 6 hour photography workshop withVal Westover Photography for only $59 (normally a $450 value).

This would make a great Christmas gift for someone. I’ve been doing some pretty strong hinting myself this morning. Groupon deals are only good for one day though so you’ll need to move fast before this deal ends.

Amazing Deal on Cuisinart BBQ Set

Buy.com has an amazing deal on a Cuisinart BBQ set. The set itself is normally $49.99. Right now they have it on sale for $24.99 WITH a $20 Omaha Steaks coupon! If you know anyone who loves to BBQ, this would make a great Christmas or birthday gift. Whenever I see a deal like this I usually set it aside so I have a gift available when I need it.

Amazon – Organic Coconut Oil Deal

by Rachel on September 2, 2010

I’ve been slowly working my way through all the advice on The Diet Solution (highly recommend it by the way) and coconut oil is advised as a better choice, even over olive oil for most cooking situations. Amazon has Nutiva organic coconut oil on sale right now for $13.74 for a 2 pack and the price drops down to $11.68 for 2 with free shipping if you sign up for their subscription service. You can cancel the subscription service at any time.

I did this deal last time it was offered and have been very happy with the quality of the coconut oil (You should try cooking pancakes in coconut oil. You’ll never go back). I canceled my subscription within a few days of signing up for it so I didn’t get any surprise packages but I was very happy with the transaction as a whole. It was easy and much cheaper than I’ve seen coconut oil for in the store.

Great Mini Photo Book Deal

by Rachel on September 2, 2010

I had a very brief stint as a scrapbooker. I bought the supplies, set up a space in my house to scrapbook, and started working my way through stacks of photos. Then I realized that (a) I’m not very good at scrapbooking and (b) I don’t really like it very much. So I stopped. I discovered how easy it was to make photobooks online and I was in love with how professional they looked. I went through and did baby books for my youngest kids in a matter of days. My oldest still doesn’t quite understand why his baby book is a massive binder filled with photos cut with decorative edges.

SeeHere has a great deal right now on their mini photo books. These would be perfect for documenting a single occasion like a birthday party or a holiday. Their Mini Books include:

  • 2 ¾” x 3 7/8”
  • White printable cover
  • Soft bound
  • 24 pages
  • Premium, bright white 100 lb. paper

Regular Price $4.99. Price with Coupon Code 2/$4.99

Buy one get one free and get Free shipping with the code minibook-3. This code expires 9/8/10

Hooked on Phonics Deal

by Rachel on August 30, 2010

Hooked on Phonics has great sales every few months. We stocked up last year on preschool – 2nd grade products and they were a huge part of our homeschool curriculum. We’re using Hooked on Phonics to do preschool at home this year because they do a pretty good job of giving kids a good foundation in the basics. Right now they have an online sale going on. You can get an additional 55% off the sale price using the code SLICK55. Orders over $130 will get free shipping.
